Adjectives describe nouns. Comparatives compare two things. Superlatives compare more than two.

Describe nouns.

تصف الأسماء.

Comparatives

Form: adjective + -er + than, or more + adjective.

الصيغة: الصفة + er + than، أو more + الصفة.

Superlatives

Form: the + adjective + -est, or most + adjective.

الصيغة: the + الصفة + est، أو most + الصفة.

Examples

  • This book is interesting.
  • هذا الكتاب ممتع.
  • She is taller than her brother.
  • هي أطول من أخيها.
